About Us

Founded by Jonnel Green in the Fall of 2008, Young Harlem, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization certified by the New York State Department of Education. The organization is a multi-faceted dropout prevention program that takes at-risk or “at-hope” students and transforms them into scholastic and behavioral achievers. Young Harlem Inc, serves as a vendor for the New York City Department Of Education in which has after school programs in various schools. Young Harlem Inc, also has a partnership with the  New York City Department of Probation and establishes professional development for its staff and youth on probation. Although Young Harlem, Inc. was founded in Harlem, NY, the organization seeks to impact urban communities worldwide by working in partnership with businesses, churches and various learning institutions both locally and internationally.
